    Weber Basin has initiated various preventative measures as outlined in its Continuity of Operations Plan for Pandemics to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of the public and its employees. COVID is not a waterborne illness, and the District has state of the art disinfection systems at all of its treatment plants. It begins in the northwest of the Uinta Mountains and empties into the Great Salt Lake. The Weber River was named for American fur trapper John Henry Weber. The Weber River rises in the northwest of the Uinta Mountains, at the foot of peaks including Bald Mountain, Notch Mountain, and Mount Watson.⁃ location: Utah.

This reconnaissance of the quality of surface water in the Weber River basin encompassed an area of 2, square miles. Elevations in the basin range from 4, to 11, feet. The water-distribution system on the Weber River is well developed.

Numerous irrigation diversions greatly decrease the flow of the river at several locations in the basin.
